Write for us
We are looking for writers with a story only they can tell, and the craft to tell it well.
What we are looking for
Tailorbird Press: cultural stories, ethnic tales and folklore retellings from across the globe, in accessible, high-interest formats for readers of every age.
Ursa Minor Press: adventure, mystery and humour for readers aged 8 to 12, ideally with series potential.
Consilium 7 Publishing House: fiction for readers aged 16 and over, including the supernatural, fantasy, speculative, time-slip, mystery and upmarket commercial fiction.
How to submit
- Email submissions@consilium7.com with the subject line: Submission: Title, Genre, Imprint.
- In the email body, include a cover letter of up to one page: the book in two sentences, its word count, who it is for and a few lines about you.
- Attach a synopsis of up to two pages, including the ending.
- Attach the first three chapters or about 10,000 words. For picture books and short collections, attach the full text.
- Send files as .docx or .pdf.
What happens next
Every submission is read by our editorial team. If we would like to see more, we will reply within 12 weeks. If you have not heard from us by then, the book is not right for our list at this time, and we would be glad to see your next one.
